Their last film in which Sanjay Dutt and Vivek Oberoi worked together was Shootout At Lokhandwala where Dutt played a cop and Oberoi a gangster. The two actors have made their peace and will share screen space after four years in Anand Kumar's Zilla Ghaziabad. In ZG, the two will play similar roles. Says a source, "Sanju had initially turned the role down in light of his differences with VO. But now, Dutt is willing to forgive and forget. He liked the script and reworked his schedule to be able to be a part of this project."Says Dutt, "Yes, I play a cop. It's a great script and role." However, he has asked for changes to be made in the script. A source close to Vivek confirmed he's doing the film. "He has always looked up to Sanju sir and is looking forward to working with him again after Shootout."Their 'differences'The Sanju-VO equation went bad when Dutt started dating Maanayata. Buzz was Vivek had tried to woo Maana with flowers and bring personal CDs to a gym the two frequented. However, he backed off when he realised who she was dating. This was followed by reports of Oberoi passing nasty comments about Maana. The remarks upset Dutt and he cut off all ties with Oberoi. Repeated SMSes later, Sanju remained aloof.
The last straw was when VO met Maana's mother and put forth a marriage proposal on behalf of Dutt. The older actor saw this as the youngster meddling in his private life.At Zayed Khan's party that year, Vivek kept trying to justify his actions to Sanju but was ignored. Finally, Dutt told VO calmly but coldly, "Don't mess around with me!" and walked off. He was then spotted at Sanjay and Maanayata Dutt's mata ki chowki at their residence, though he wasn't invited.
