I mran Khan is currently on a professional and personal high. After getting married earlier this year, Imran is now eagerly awaiting his next release Delhi Belly. Riding high on the buzz created by his film, the actor is also looking forward to solve issues on the personal front, as he looks forward to bury the hatchet with Ranbir Kapoor.Speaking about his long-standing rivalry with Ranbir, Imran played down the whole thing saying, Everything is fine between the two of us. He just messaged me last week saying that he saw the song DK Bose and he is waiting to watch the film. Were still friends!
Blaming the media for everything that went wrong between them, Imran said, I am not blind to the stories that come out. When such stories surface, I just pick up the phone and call him. He in turn messages me to clarify things. Certain people around you will always try to poison your mind. This can be rather dangerous. When the first story about the two of us fighting was printed, Ranbir called me to clarify. There mustve been people around him doing all this. I never blamed him for it.Moving on to his professional life, Imran spoke about his return to Aamir Khan Productions after three years. He started his career with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na in July 2008 and now in July 2011 he will be seen in Delhi Belly. Talking about his forthcoming release, Imran said, Delhi Belly is as special to me as my debut film. I think that this is an important film for Indian cinema since its the first English language film to get a nation-wide release. This film will surely change the way people look at Bollywood.
Though first of its kind, Delhi Belly has also sparked off many controversies. As far as DK Bose is concerned, I knew that the song will be an instant hit. But then again, youth music has always faced opposition from various quarters in this country and even abroad. Sixty years ago when Elvis Presley came up with his genre of music, there were people who protested, said Imran about the many controversies surrounding the song. I think that when there is Aamir Khan involved in a project, people tend to piggy back on him to be seen in the media. What can you do about that? However, since the censor board has passed the song, these people who are calling the song names can do whatever they want to. It will not affect the film in any way, said Imran reacting to Anubhav Sinhas comment on the DK Bose song being immoral.
